I was once named "most likely" to find the pony in the room full of you know what. So, while my family and I lived in a trailer after a house fire (Ash Wednesday 2000), I rediscovered my passion for fabric and wool. Piecing blocks and knitting helped me rebuild my life. It was meditative and therapeutic.
Ten years later fiber is still my creative outlet and connection to new friends. I love color and texture. l create quilts, felted hats and bags, and knitwear for artistic expression and colorful fashion. I collect scraps of fabric, yarn, and old buttons. I use natural and repurposed materials.
My work has appeared in the Cheshire Herald and Natural Awakenings Magazine. In October 2011 one of my quilts was selected to be part of the permanent collection at Michigan State University following the SAQA national trunk show "This is a Quilt!"
